history.

Originally built in 1933, The Boathouse at Evans Lake has been a destination in the Irish Hills for nine decades. The Boathouse is named after its storied past as a boat house that stored boats for use on Evans Lake. Over the years, guests have come to know the Boathouse as part of the Kings Motel or neighboring Evans Lake Resort.

Today, the Boathouse is a standalone property, completely renovated in 2021. The focus was to increase comfort and accessibility for large groups, while retaining as much of its lake front allure as possible. Remnants of its historic past do remain including the upper level coal fireplace and coal shoot as well as the original metal boat hoist beam in the lower level.
